The history of Okura® goes back to Kihachiro Okura, a member of the aristocracy and japanese political society; he was born in the Niigata Prefecture in 1837 and who established his own company in 1873, Okura-gumi in Tokyo.
Since 1990 Okura® in Colombia started its evolution towards the international food ingredients market, and developing since 1998 as Okura Andina® its corporate philosophy of being a company renowned for its quality in the catering of ingredients for the industry.
